Kite-Surfing Seasons and Conditions. Kite-surfing in Zanzibar is best enjoyed during specific seasons when the wind conditions are optimal. The main kite seasons on the island are from June to September and December to March. During these periods, the prevailing wind directions create ideal conditions for kite-surfing along Zanzibar’s beaches and coasts.
